The Blues!

Yuck! It is a Friday night and I am home with Strep!! The kids are at V.B.S., and actually that is where I am suppose to be too cause I was a leader. I don't think many parents would be too happy if I was leading their kids around when I have Strep so I stayed home. My hubby is on his way to a week long backpacking trip in Wyoming so no help from him! Not to mention I am going to miss him terribly. Love you baby, have a blast while your sickly wife tries to take care of your two children. No really, I do hope he has fun and doesn't end up getting this while he is gone.

One good thing is the 3 Ibuprofens have kicked in and my throat and ears don't hurt so bad. I started my antibiotics today also so I want this bug to leave me ASAP!!!

New subject. In less than 3 weeks my life is about to get flipped upside down. Da Da Dom! My little baby girl is going into Kindergarten. Ahhhhhh. Ok, I know moms have to go through this (the ones that don't home school) but it doesn't make it any easier on me. I know O is going to love it but I am not sure how Ike is going to take it. He will be losing his partner in crime. I have to admit I am looking forward to seeing how he interacts with me, and how his personality grows without his big sister beside him. I have my little worries about O in school. I sometimes see how she is babied because she has some speech issues and she is so little and cute. I just want her to thrive and love to learn and not struggle academically like I did. Pray that God will give me a peace with this area! It seem like just yesterday that I was holding her in my arms!

My beautiful girl a few months old!

(My boy isn't too bad looking either)

I will make it, just needed to vent! Okay, now I have to go pick up my kiddos from V.B.S.!

Wow, I can't believe our little "Whoah" is going to kindergarten! She's so big! I remember when Myboy was too little for school, he and I would just sit and stare at each other for the first few weeks after Mygirl would start school again. We honestly didn't know what to do without her. Slowly, though, we'd start to feel our way again and had some precious times together--it is nice actually having that one-on-one time with the second child, because you had all that time with the first one alone, and this is really the first time you get alone with the second.

I'll be thinking of you, boohoo. Tell Whoah I'm proud of her! And by the way, thank for the invite tomorrow, but we are lake-bound again. :) Have fun! And where in Wyoming is Jason?

Sorry to hear you have strep. There's been some of that going around here too. Hope you heal up quickly. I've been meaning to tell you how much I enjoyed the video of the kids dancing...it was awesome!! I was inspired to do my own video but I don't have a camera. Love you guys!

Hope you get feeling better! Being sick is no fun-especially in the summer!

Yes, you can definitely come visit anytime! Oh, and the first one going to kindergarten is quite a family event! But if you must know, I shed a tear as each one of mine went out the door to school. Just a hard "mommy" experience! We all get through it, though! How's that for encouragement!?

Just so you know, I dropped Mygirl off for her first day of high school, turned so she couldn't see me, and burst into tears. The security guard and policeman who help with the traffic comforted me. I'm such a dork. So I guess what I'm saying is, it doesn't get any easier. (My encouragement is even worse than Kim's!)

Oh dear, oh dear. We'll have to comfort each other on this one. I worry for my boys ability to handle things. I'm scared he'll get his feelers hurt when he can't keep up. I'm afraid he'll just turn off and refuse to cooperate. That's it, I'm homeschooling. j/k

Olivia is such a sweet and fun kiddo, she'll do fine. If she's feeling challenged by something she can whip out a puzzle and blow the other kids away with her solving skills. ;)
